Group Room Blocks
If you are hosting an event, you may find a need to set aside a large number of rooms for your guests. If you will need ten rooms or more, Ocean View Inn and Resort will be happy to set aside a room block for your guests, subject to the following Group Room Block Policy.
At the time you arrange your room block, Ocean View Inn and Resort will charge a deposit of 25% of the total cost of all rooms for the entire stay, including tax. This deposit ensures that the rooms in your block are made available only to guests of your event.
Forty-five days prior to the scheduled date of arrival, the room block is subject to release. At this time, any remaining (unreserved) rooms in your room block are released back to general availability, and your original deposit is refunded back to you. The administrative charge of 8% will be deducted from your deposit and the balance refunded to you in the manner in which it was received. (The administrative charge is waived if you choose to apply your room block deposit directly to any balance due as part of your function.)
Please note that the 25% room block deposit sets aside rooms for guests of your group -- it does not reserve the rooms. Your group will still need to contact us to reserve the rooms in your block, subject to our regular reservation process and policies.
