I stayed at the Hotel Delta Marriott Barrington, Halifax during the first week of December. I arrived late and checked in. The travel agent failed to inform the hotel and when I arrived there was no reservation. At first I thought I had gone to the wrong hotel there is a second delta across the street, but my booking showed the Barrington was correct. The receptionist asked for a card to confirm my stay and said they would take care of it. They also put us in the right room (it has breakfast). I had arrived late and I was very happy with the fast this was solved.
The hotel itself is a bit outdated in appearance. Also, the breakfast variety was a bit disappointing and the diningt room was not good at providing seats for everyone. Finally the water pressure in the shower was very low really very low. It was not a great shower.
The good things the bed was excellent, fell very comfortable and I slept well. The room was not very quiet (some street noise) but not too noisy. The dinner snack outstanding and surprisingly different - it had so many delicious meal options . I did not go to dinner. Also, the free wifi (one for me to a delta). And last but not least, the service was excellent, the staff was very attentive and I really appreciated it.
Upon check out I was asked to pay for the room. But after some calls to my travel agent receptionist (who actually contacted my travel agent) has finally solved this issue. In fact they could have double charge me, but thanks to Tomas they did not.
